Moe and Reggaecide met through a mutual admiration of each other as musicians. What started up as a remix ended up being a completly new tune blending experimental pop with hardcore junglism, with the DUB version sounding like a blend between nineties Bristol Trip Hop and early RUN DMC.

Reggeacide Album Debute On Unko Records

Friday, July 19th, 2013

Reggacide album debute is a free 15-track compilation of mashups turning Popsingers into Junglistas by the grace of Hardcore.

Press release below:

Why Reggeacide mashed tunes with pop singers into rave bangers on this LP:

There are people who want to describe themselves or the world they live in through music. Reggaecide’s goal however is to mirror the flow of cultural information. Reggaecide’s junglemashups are aimed at a world where the gap of time and place has shrunked radically due to the enormous access to information. The reason anyone would want to listen to jungle mashups of pop singers in 200 bpm is that we are already used to a bombardment of diverse and fragmented information in our everyday life. From ads in the streets that are mixed with music pouring out from peoples homes, to browsing the net with several tabs open while listening to the radio. This makes Reggeacides music both irresistible and frightening at the same time. Like the experience of suddenly understanding that you are sleeping when you thought you where awake. Or vice versa. Which is quite amazing for something that was just intended to make you smile and dance.

Wayne Lonesome Diss EP

Saturday, October 27th, 2012

The story this far:
Khago dissed sizzla, therefore Wayne Lonesome dissed Khago. When Wayne asked Reggaecide to remix the diss-tracks did he not have to think for long.

Basbotten are proud to present two brand new remixes with an vocalist who is not only a dancehall veteran but also a legend in the jungle/breakcore scene, where he has worked with and being remixed by artists like The bug, kid 606 and DJ rupture.

On this release is also an older remix on Wayne by reggaecide. downloadable for the first time. The song take no promises is not a diss against a particular person, instead it is lashing out against the general fuckeries by politicians and the consequences it has for the sufferahs of this world.
